Tonight the club hosted our Area Governor Ian Steltner for his official AG visit, though he is a fairly regular visitor to Alford & Mablethorpe being a member of the nearby Rotary Club of Spilsby.
Much of what Ian wanted to talk about dovetailed into business the club was already discussing so it’s good to know Club and District are pulling in the same direction!
The Club has committed to take part in a District wide raffle by donation a prize worth approximately £100 and selling raffle tickets worth around £500. 90% of the proceeds will be donated to Rotary’s End Polio Now project, and it’s clear Ian appreciated our willingness to support this ambitious project.
Further conversation mostly involved Rotary matters, in which Ian will be a good advocate for the Club, having listened to all views and found little to disagree with.
