During the 2022/23 Rotary Year, the Club made a particular effort to support ShelterBox in its mission to respond to humanitarian crisis given the earthquakes in Turkey and Syria and war in Ukraine.
Our donations to ShelterBox over the year amounted to £2,980 for which we have been awarded the status of a ShelterBox Partner Club. Of course, this recognition belongs not just to the Club but to the entire Alford and Mablethorpe area who helped use raise money at our bucket collections or BBQs at community events.
We can only imagine the lives that have been directly and meaningfully changed by the provision not just of shelter, but many other life-saving items like water purifiers, clothes, bedding, stoves and cooking materials etc…
