Purple Crocus in Mablethorpe, Sutton and Anderby

Ned Polio Now Logo

Spring is here and across the country purple crocus flowers are appearing. The purple crocus is used by Rotary as a symbol of their campaign to end Polio in the world. This year there have been just 4 cases reported of Polio in the world, the lowest ever figure recorded since the campaign started in 1988 when 1000 children a day were being paralysed by polio. Our club has provided purple crocus bulbs for public display in Mablethorpe, Sutton on Sea and Anderby. The pictures show flowers in Mablethorpe and Sutton on Sea.
