On Saturday 21st the Club organised a Coffee Morning and Cake Sale at the Alford Corn Exchange to raise funds for local Dementia Charity Bob’s Brainwaves.
The event was instigated by Rotarian Gill Marsh who, working with Bob’s Brainwaves founder Chris Suich, managed to raise an incredible £1,060 for Bob’s Brainwaves.
Gill, Chris and everyone from both organisations would like to offer our thanks to all who lovingly made, baked and donated cakes or gave donations of time or raffle prizes. And thank you to everyone who attended and gave so generously.
Pat King from Bob’s Brainwaves attended our meeting this week with his wife Hillary and explained that the donation would cover the cost of another 500 packs of information to assist the carers of people diagnosed with dementia.
