A great benefit of Rotary is the opportunity to participate in trips which are invariably both educational and fun.
Our club recently enjoyed a tour of Drury Precision Engineering in Alford. I don’t think any of us suspected such a modern, high tech factory was sat right on our doorstep. With 3D scanners and printers, highly automated milling machines and even LED lighting and solar panels, the level of investment in modern equipment was evident in abundance. And nothing I type here will convey just how clean everything is!
Thanks to Chris Vines for showing us round and to all the staff who answered questions with a smile and made us feel very welcome. Special thanks to Rotarian John Handley for organising the visit.
