Each year, our club supports the Rotary Youth Leadership Award (RYLA) by sending a couple of local secondary school children to a four-day leadership development course at The Rotary Centre in Castleton, Derbyshire.
The club is indebted to Chris Lilley, who always takes charge of the project and raises the funds with a sponsored challenge. This year, Chris decided he would swim across the International Date Line. This was safely accomplished with a well-timed length of the pool on his cruise ship!
