Our newest member, Ann Brocklehurst, has hit the ground running with a commitment to chair our environment committee in the coming Rotary year and giving her job talk during her first meeting as a member earlier this week.
Ann has had an interesting life, initially moving quite a bit following her husband’s career with Mars which saw them living in Brussels for two years. When a change of pace was desired, they ran a village store for a year before deciding it wasn’t for them.
Their next adventure was ten years running a business transfer agency, which is similar to an estate agent, but dealing with the buying and selling of businesses.
After a spell temping, Ann took a job creating websites for the NHS’ internal use. When NICE took over the websites and moved them in-house, Ann decided it was time to retire and has subsequently moved to enjoy a life by the coast.
