News: Alford’s Indian Summer

Published

An excellent Indian themed event in Alford which saw crowds from all over the county, was supported by our Rotary Club with an information stall and a stall selling donated handbags, scarves and jewellery to raise funds for Lincs with India, a charity we have supported for over 20 years.

The event itself was very busy with Indian fashion shows, dancing, henna transfers, great Indian food, lots of stalls and side shows, penny farthing bike and so much more. The Manor House’s craft fair, face painting, story telling for the kids, music and jugglers to name just a few was overflowing to capacity.

Most of the shops went all out for the Indian theme and visitors were dressed in saris or other Indian garb and jewellery which made for a spectacular colourful show helped along by a bit of sunshine.

Wow, what a success and congratulations to the organisers who were raising funds for the Alford Corn Exchange.
