Saturday found our volunteers at the Alford Bonfire Night manning our Barbecue to support the event and raise money for Rotary charities.
The evening is organised by Alford Cricket Club and always extremely well attended, this year being no exception. It was our fifth time supporting the event and for the first time we were joined by Paula’s Baps who helped keep the queues down with their catering trailer parked beside our tent.
Our barbecue raised over £1,200 before costs and Paula’s Baps very generously donated their profit from the evening, contributing a further £400. All the proceeds will be distributed to charities near and far, and we thank everyone who turned out to support the event.
Paula’s Baps offers mobile catering for events etc. During the high season, you will find them parked on the beach close to Golden Sands at Mablethorpe in the day and by the Tow Bar Pub on Holivans Caravan Park in the evening.
