The club’s annual charter was held on Sunday 14th of May in the marquee at The Alford Manor House.
The event centred around an afternoon tea, a novel format tried a few years ago that appears to have stuck. The Rotary Clubs of Skegness, Spalding & Welland, Woodhall Spa, Spilsby and Cleethorpes were all represented, as was St Ives thanks to one of our previous District Governors, Tim Tucker, who travelled such a long way to join us.
Robert Pacey provided the atmosphere with his harp playing before and during the meal. Charles Hall (commonly known as Malcolm) from Mablethorpe’s Coastal Distillery finished the event off with a talk on the various spirits they produce and an opportunity to taste some samples.
