Thank you to everyone who attended our 40th Charter Dinner held at Woodthorpe Country Park last night.
80 guests including community leaders, representatives of 7 Rotary and Inner Wheel Clubs, family and friends enjoyed a 4 course meal while musician Steve Allen entertained. A beautiful anniversary cake was prepared by Holmestead Cakes and Bakes which was cut by two of remaining founder members John Conyers and David Ferguson. Following the traditional speeches and toasts, Joy Liddle of Anti-Slavery Charity Hope For Justice spoke powerfully of their work to see a world free for Slavery.
Thanks are also due to Steve Allen Entertainment and Photographers Joe Coburn and Liz Thomas who captured the atmosphere of a great evening with the wonderful photo’s you can see below.
