News: 2017 Christmas Collections in Alford & Mablethorpe with Santa

Published

For the last few weeks our club has been busy bringing Santa to local events – The Alford Manor House Christmas Extravaganza, The Sutton on Sea Christmas Festival and The Mablethorpe Carol Concert. In addition Santa joined us at both the Alford and Mablethorpe Co-op supermarkets to give presents to children while our volunteers collected donations for Rotary Charities.

Volunteering at the supermarkets is always enjoyable with so many people being so generous. It’s also a joy to see the children interacting with Santa and how polite and well behaved they all are – but then you have to be on your best behaviour when you see Santa!

So while thanking The Co-op, Santa and our volunteers (pictured below) we’d like to especially thank all the children who came to see us, all the parents who brought them and the many many people who put some money in our collection buckets helping us raise over £890 during the three supermarket collections.

We wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
